Metcalfe WD-50 Range of Waste Disposal Units

Metcalfe heavy duty food waste disposer units are designed to cope quickly, efficiently, hygienically and safely with all types of food waste, including small bones, skin, preparation and table waste, which are all ground into fine particles and washed away into the drainage system, thus eliminating unhygienic scrap bins and costly refuse collection.
 
Suitable to deal with food waste from small and large canteens, restaurants, schools, clubs, ships, oil rigs etc. 

The nominal capacity is up to 150kg per hour.

All Units are fitted with the same type of motor - ½h.p. high torque continuously rated reversing motor which is fan cooled with capacitor start and incorporating thermal cut-out. The units have  precision cutting head and the rubber housing is particularly efficient at absorbing vibration and
reducing noise levels. All types supplied complete with ‘S’ trap for connection to 2” waste pipe. The outlet is fully adjustable through 360° to suit  any particular installation.

EXCLUSIVE to this range is the electrical control equipment - it reduces the input voltage 240v to 12v and ensures greater safety in the possible
event of an electrical fault. A PRINTED CIRCUIT incorporates a no-volt release device.

Operation is fully automatic. Immediately the unit is switched on the solenoid valve fitted to the water supply is actuated. The flow rate consumption is approximately 12 to 16 litre/minute.

MODEL WD-50S
A small Waste Disposer for mounting under a sink bowl. A cut-out of 89mm (3½”) is required in order to mount the unit to the sink,. The unit is supplied complete with wall mounted motor control box incorporating 12 volt printer circuit.

MODEL WD-50H
This unit is designed for welding or screwing into a stainless steel worktop or tabling, through an aperture of 277mm x 277mm. Other sizes available to special order and quotation. Supplied complete with wall mounted motor control box incorporating 12 volt printed circuit. Unit incorporates lockable hopper lid which is fully electrically interlocked to prevent hand access to the grinding head whilst the machine is running. Hopper and lid manufactured entirely from stainless steel.

MODEL WD-50F
The freestanding unit is fabricated in stainless steel and incorporates the 12 volt motor controls in a sealed unit mounted on the front panel. Stainless steel side panels are available as an optional extra. Like the tabling model the unit incorporates a lockable hopper lid which is fully
interlocked electrically, preventing hand access to the grinding head whilst the machine is running.
